Our Origin Story
Convergent Paths Co. was born from an insight gained during founder Tash Wong's decade leading product design teams at Meta and Salesforce: the most significant barrier to success isn't talent or technology—it's team misalignment.
Throughout her career, Tash repeatedly witnessed how costly this misalignment could be:
Cross-functional teams working toward different objectives
Geographic silos preventing effective collaboration
Different departments using the same terminology but speaking different languages
The consequences were always the same: extended timelines, wasted resources, frustrated teams, and revenue loss.
The Turning Point
The methodology that would become Convergent Paths' foundation emerged from necessity. After returning from maternity leave to lead a critical project between dysfunctional teams in London and Menlo Park, Tash designed a four-day structured working session in Seattle.
The transformation was remarkable. Teams that had barely communicated for months emerged with a tested prototype, clear direction, and completely new dynamic. What had stalled for months was back on track in just four days.
This experience revealed a powerful truth: the right structured approach could transform even the most misaligned teams in a matter of days.
Returning Home
After 20 years away, Tash returned to Hawaii in 2021 – coming home to the islands where she grew up, now with a family and valuable experience gained in Silicon Valley.
This homecoming presented an opportunity to contribute meaningful skills to a business community she deeply cares about. The islands' business culture has always emphasized values that align with effective collaboration – community connection, and relationship-building.
As a returning kama'āina committed to Hawaii's success, Tash is actively involved in the local innovation ecosystem, including mentoring with the Pi'iku Co. Convergent Paths Co. represents her commitment to sharing methodologies that help local organizations thrive.
Our Mission
Convergent Paths Co. brings Silicon Valley-tested workshop methodologies to Hawaii's organizations, creating structured working sessions that help local businesses solve complex problems and build stronger team connections while honoring local values and business practices.
The name Convergent Paths embodies exactly what the organization helps teams achieve – bringing diverse perspectives together to converge on shared understanding and aligned action.
